WATER DISPLACEMENT # 40...BETTER KNOWN AS "WD-40"

I wish I had been the one to invent "WD-40". It doesn't cost very much but does wonders for a lot of things. I just spilled a bottle of BLACK INK on my ceramic tile. Of course, I tried to clean it up immediately and it just smeared and looked terrible. I thought about the list of things that someone had sent to me in an email that WD-40 would do. I sprayed it on the huge spot and wiped it up. It took two sprayings and wipeings but it is gone now. Yipeeeeeeee!

Something similar happened to me, a long time ago. A friend walked in from the shop, with black grease on his feet....my carpet was white. I tried everything I could come up with and was ready to give up to cry and hunt for some area rugs that I might could put in place to cover it. A friend called and wanted a hair cut and I told him what I was doing. He ask me if I had any lighter fluid, like you put in a cigarette lighter? (something with naphtha in it) Yes, I had some. I squirted it on the foot prints, scrubbed it and the grease disappeared. Yipeeeeeeee, again!

I shall say, " Good Night John Boy", now, and leave you to read the list below of the things that "WD-40" will do, in case you didn't get the email.

WD-40
A refresher course!

This guy had just bought a new pickup. His neighbor got up very early one
Sunday morning and saw that someone had spray painted red all around the
sides of this beige truck (for some unknown reason). The neighbor went over,
woke him up, and told him the bad news. He was very upset and was trying to figure
out what to do. Probably nothing until Monday morning, since nothing was
open. Another neighbor came out and told him to get his WD-40 and clean
it off. It removed the unwanted paint beautifully and did not harm his
paint job that was on the truck. Impressed! "WD-40"-- who knew?"

Water Displacement #40. The product began from a search for a rust
preventative solvent and degreaser to protect missile parts. WD-40 was
created in 1953 by three technicians at the San Diego Rocket Chemical
Company. Its name comes from the project that was to find a 'water
displacement' compound. They were successful with the fortieth
formulation; thus WD-40. The Corvair Company bought it in bulk to protect
their atlas missile parts.

Ken East (one of the original founders) says there is nothing in WD-40
that would hurt you...'It is made from fish oil.'

When you read the 'shower door' part, try it. It's the first thing that
has ever cleaned that spotty shower door. If yours is plastic, it works
just as well as glass. Then try it on your stove top. It is now shinier

Wow! WD40 does just about as much as vinegar. I'm going to have to keep this list in mind for when I get something on my carpet from crafting!
